Universal Slim Keyboard for Tablets

The LUOM portable Bluetooth 3.0 keyboard is a slim input device built for tablets, smartphones and computers running iOS, Android, Mac OS or Windows. Its white finish and compact 9.7 X 5.9 X .24in frame suit mobile professionals and students who type on multiple platforms. The unit weighs .37lb and includes a rechargeable lithium battery rated for six months of use at two hours daily with backlighting off.

Upgrade from Basic On-Screen Typing

This keyboard replaces virtual keyboards and single-device Bluetooth models by adding three-device pairing with one-key switching and seven selectable LED backlight colours at two brightness levels. The jump is worthwhile for users who regularly move between a tablet, phone and laptop and need tactile keys with adjustable illumination for low-light work. An auto-sleep feature helps preserve the six-month charge cycle.

Build-Around Considerations

The keyboard requires a host device with Bluetooth 3.0 or later and a USB port for the included charging cable. It frees up screen real estate by removing the on-screen keyboard and eliminates the need to carry separate keyboards for each operating system. No proprietary dongle or driver installation is needed; pairing is handled through the host’s standard Bluetooth menu.

Questions about this item

What are the exact dimensions of the LUOM keyboard so I can check it fits my bag?

The keyboard measures 9.7 by 5.9 by .24 inches and weighs .37 lb, making it slim enough for most backpacks or messenger bags.

How do I pair the keyboard with up to three devices and switch between them?

Enable Bluetooth 3.0 on each device, press the pairing key for the first slot, connect in the OS, then repeat for the other two slots; switch instantly by pressing the corresponding device key.

How often will I need to recharge the built-in battery under typical use?

With about two hours of daily typing and the backlight off, the rechargeable lithium battery lasts roughly six months per charge; using the 7-color LED backlight will shorten that interval.
