Smart eight-slot charger with AccuLoop-X AAA cells

The Powerex MH-C800S charges up to eight AAA nickel-metal-hydride batteries simultaneously. It ships with eight AccuPower AccuLoop-X cells rated at 1100 mAh and 1.2 V. The unit accepts 100-240 V AC input at 50/60 Hz and delivers an 18 V, 1.0 A output for charging.

Replaces single-bay chargers

Each slot operates independently at a 1000 mAh charge rate, so mixed-capacity packs can be topped up together without waiting for the slowest cell. The jump is worthwhile for households or field kits that cycle many AAA cells weekly and want to avoid the waste and recurring cost of single-use batteries.

Limited to NiMH chemistry and AAA form factor

The charger does not support lithium-ion, nickel-cadmium or other chemistries, and its bays accept only AAA-size cells. Users needing AA, C, D or 9 V formats, or faster than 1 A per slot, will require different hardware.

Questions about this item

What AC input voltage range does the MH-C800S charger accept?

The charger accepts 100-240V AC at 50/60Hz, so it works on mains supplies worldwide without a voltage converter.

How are the eight AAA batteries inserted for charging, and what mistake should be avoided?

Place each AAA cell into its own slot matching the polarity markings; the common error is reversing a cell, which prevents that slot from charging.

When will the included 1100 mAh AccuLoop-X NiMH batteries need replacement?

NiMH cells typically deliver hundreds of charge cycles; replace them when run-time drops noticeably or they no longer hold a full 1100 mAh charge.
