Connects 30x30mm and 51x30mm mSATA SSDs via USB 3.0 at 5Gbps with an aluminium case for heat dissipation
This adapter accepts mSATA solid-state drives in the 30x30 mm and 51x30 mm form factors. It connects those drives to a host through a USB 3.0 interface. The design suits users who want to read or repurpose an existing mSATA SSD without installing it inside a computer.
The enclosure body is made from aluminium alloy and includes vents on the underside to dissipate heat during transfers. A plastic dust cap protects the connector when the drive is not fitted. No separate data cable is required because the USB plug is built directly into the housing.
The ASM1153E chipset provides a 5 Gbps USB 3.0 link that is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 ports. On a USB 2.0 connection the theoretical throughput drops to 480 Mbps, and on USB 1.1 it falls to 12 Mbps. The drive capacity supported by the bridge tops out at 2 TB.

It uses USB 3.0 with a 5 Gbps interface; the ASM1153E chipset manages the link, and the port falls back to USB 2.0 at 480 Mbps or USB 1.1 at 12 Mbps.
The enclosure accepts mSATA SSDs measuring 30x30 mm or 51x30 mm; the aluminium shell with bottom vents and an ABS dust cap covers both lengths.
Slide the mSATA SSD into the onboard connector, snap the dust cap on, then plug the unit straight into a USB port — no cable, no tools, no driver install required.
