Stereo headset with dual 3.5 mm plugs

The MANHATTAN 179317 is a wired stereo headset designed for desktop or notebook users who need a simple audio and voice solution. It connects via two separate 3.5 mm jacks for sound output and microphone input. Foam earpads provide basic comfort during calls or media playback.

Limited by analog 3.5 mm connections

Audio quality and microphone performance depend entirely on the host device's onboard sound hardware because the headset uses passive analog plugs. There is no digital signal processing, inline volume control, or USB sound card included in the design. The six-foot cable sets the maximum reach from the computer.

Plug-and-play setup with cable management

Installation requires inserting the colour-coded plugs into matching microphone and headphone ports on the computer. No drivers or software are needed for basic operation. The long cord can tangle or catch on desk edges if not routed carefully. Users with combined headset ports will need a separate splitter adapter not supplied with this unit.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the single 3.5 mm version or the dual-plug model?

This model uses two 3.5 mm plugs — one for audio output and one for the microphone — so you need separate headphone and mic jacks on your device.

How does the 6 ft cable length work at a desk?

The 6 ft cord reaches from a floor-standing tower or a rear-panel jack on a notebook without pulling tight across the workspace.

What do the dual 3.5 mm plugs connect to?

One plug carries stereo sound to the headphones and the other carries the microphone signal, matching standard separate audio and mic ports on PCs and laptops.
