Ultra Slim CAT 6 Cable 14 ft

This 14 ft CAT 6 patch cable uses 28AWG pure copper conductors with 50u" gold plated contacts. Its 3.0mm outer diameter creates an ultra slim profile suited for tight routing in data centers or server rooms. The snagless molded design adds strain relief while preserving a generous bending radius.

Slim Profile Improves Airflow and Cooling

The reduced 3.0mm diameter occupies less space inside cable trays and racks. This slimmer profile increases airflow around equipment, which supports improved cooling in dense installations. Snagless boots protect the connector tabs during frequent patching changes.

Suits High Density Racks Not Long Horizontal Runs

Network engineers managing crowded server cabinets benefit from the flexible routing and airflow gains. Installers needing cables for extended horizontal runs beyond 14 ft should look at something else. Buyers requiring thicker gauge conductors for PoE loads above the cable rating should also consider alternatives.

Questions about this item

Will the 28 AWG conductors need replacing sooner than thicker cables?

The 28 AWG pure copper conductors with 50u" gold plated contacts are built to the CAT 6 specification; replacement is only needed if the cable is physically damaged.

Does the 3.0 mm diameter limit bandwidth on long runs?

The cable meets CAT 6 performance at the full 14 ft length; bandwidth is governed by the category rating, not the slim profile.

Will the slim jacket trap heat in a closed rack?

The 3.0 mm outer diameter improves airflow and cooling in dense racks, and the unshielded design adds no measurable heat of its own.
