Simple Setup with Minimal Steps

Unbox the laptop, connect the 39 W power supply via the Surface Connect port and follow the on-screen prompts to complete Windows 10 in S mode configuration. The only common issue is forgetting to switch out of S mode if you need to install applications from outside the Microsoft Store.

Verify Ports and Wireless Needs Before Buying

This model provides one USB-C port, one USB-A port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and the proprietary Surface Connect port for charging. Wireless connectivity relies on Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0, so confirm those standards match your existing network and peripheral requirements.
