21U Portable Server Rack

The Middle Atlantic PTRK21 is a 21U rolling rack cabinet built from fully welded steel. It provides 19in rack width and 24in depth for standard equipment mounting. Four-inch locking casters and recessed side handles allow the 131.20 lb unit to be moved between locations. Key-locked front and rear doors secure the installed hardware.

Upgrade from Wall-Mount or Fixed Racks

This cabinet replaces wall-mounted enclosures or stationary racks when equipment must be relocated or serviced away from a permanent server room. The 500 lb weight capacity supports dense loads while the vented side panels and rear door fan mounts provide passive and active cooling. Integrated cable strain-relief slots and adjustable 10-32 threaded rails simplify installation compared with open-frame alternatives.

For Mobile Deployments and Edge Sites

The PTRK21 suits integrators and IT teams that stage, demonstrate or temporarily deploy servers, network switches or AV gear in offices, studios or event venues. Buyers who need a permanent data-centre cabinet with higher density, deeper chassis support or seismic ratings should evaluate fixed four-post solutions instead.

Questions about this item

What floor space does the 22.6in wide by 23in deep rack occupy?

The cabinet footprint is 22.6 inches wide by 23 inches deep, so allow at least that much clear floor area plus room for the front and rear doors to swing open.

How do I level the rack after rolling it into position on its 4in casters?

Lock each of the four heavy-duty commercial-grade casters by pressing the brake lever down until it clicks; verify the rack no longer rolls before loading equipment.

When should I clean the vented side panels to maintain passive thermal management?

Inspect the vented side panels every few months and vacuum or brush away dust buildup whenever airflow appears restricted, especially in high-density or dusty environments.
