Power cabinet with pre-installed UPS

The Minuteman MMCAB42S8K is a full-height 42U server rack that ships with an ED8KRT UPS already installed inside the enclosure. It accepts 208-240VAC hardwire input and provides (4) L6-30R, (2) L6-30R and hardwire output connections for downstream equipment.

Suited for dense deployments needing integrated

This cabinet suits teams that want a single footprint combining rack space and battery backup with plug-and-play deployment. Buyers who need the full 42U of usable height for equipment should look elsewhere because the UPS occupies several rack units and leaves 37U available.

37U usable space after UPS installation

The critical figure is the 37U of usable rack capacity that remains once the pre-installed UPS is in place. That number decides whether your planned hardware stack will fit without exceeding the enclosure limit.

Questions about this item

How often will the ED8KRT UPS batteries inside the cabinet need replacing?

The pre-installed ED8KRT UPS uses internal battery modules that typically require replacement every three to five years depending on load and ambient temperature.

What limits continuous loading on the hardwire and L6-30R outputs?

The UPS is rated for 8 kVA at 208-240 VAC; sustained loads above that will trip the internal breaker or transfer to bypass.

How much heat and fan noise does the cabinet produce when the UPS runs 24/7?

The UPS generates heat proportional to load and its internal fans run continuously; the vented roof panel and mesh front door provide passive airflow to help dissipate it.
