Universal travel adapter with GaN

This MOMAX UA8AW adapter combines four plug types for 224 countries and regions with three USB-C and two USB-A ports. It delivers up to 70W total output using GaN technology in a compact 180-gram body. The design eliminates the need for separate daisy-chained adapters when travelling internationally.

Power delivery limits across ports

USB-C1 alone provides up to 70W with multiple voltage steps including 20V/3.25A and 20.6V/3.4A. USB-C2 and USB-C3 are fixed at 5V/3A, while both USB-A ports offer 5V/2.4A. When multiple ports are used the shared maximum drops to 45W, so simultaneous high-power charging is constrained.

Capacity for laptops and accessories

The 70W single-port ceiling covers most 65W laptops at full speed during business travel. Phones, tablets, watches and power banks charge comfortably on any port. Running a laptop plus several accessories will hit the 45W shared limit, so charging rates for each device will be reduced.

Questions about this item

Should I pick this 70 W GaN adapter or a lower-wattage model for my 65 W laptop?

The 70 W rating covers a 65 W laptop at full speed and still leaves headroom for a phone or tablet on the other ports.

What does the 70 W figure mean when I plug in a MacBook and phone together?

The first USB-C port can deliver 70 W alone; with multiple ports active the total is shared up to 45 W.

Which charging standards do the USB-C and USB-A ports actually support?

USB-C1 supports PD 3.0 up to 70 W; USB-C2 and USB-C3 provide 5 V/3 A; both USB-A ports support QC 3.0 at 5 V/2.4 A.
