15.24 m Cat5e patch cable

This 15.24 metre Cat5e patch cable uses 24AWG stranded pure bare copper conductors and 50 micron gold plated RJ45 contacts. It delivers 350MHz bandwidth for standard gigabit Ethernet connections. Snagless strain relief boots protect the connectors during repeated plugging and unplugging.

Replaces shorter or CCA cables

Upgrade when an existing cable is too short for a 15.24 metre run or when the current cable uses copper clad aluminium instead of pure bare copper. The jump is worth it for installations that must meet UL 444 and TIA-568-C fire safety requirements. Pure copper also reduces signal loss on longer horizontal runs.

Check port type and routing path

Verify that both endpoints use standard RJ45 ports and that the 15.24 metre length reaches between them without excessive slack. Confirm the pathway can accommodate an unshielded twisted pair cable without tight bends or crushing hazards. Ensure the snagless boots will clear adjacent connectors in dense patch panels.

Questions about this item

Will the 15.24 m length reach from my router to a desk across the room?

At 15.24 metres the cable spans roughly 50 feet, enough for most cross-room runs; measure your exact path before ordering.

How do I seat the RJ45 plugs so the 50 µm gold contacts make full connection?

Push each connector straight in until the tab clicks; the snagless boot prevents the latch from catching on adjacent cables.

Do the 24 AWG stranded copper conductors need any periodic cleaning or replacement?

No maintenance is required; the pure bare copper wires and gold-plated contacts are rated for the cable's lifetime under normal indoor use.
