Direct PC-to-PC Link Cable

This 25-foot red crossover cable connects two computers directly for data transfer without a hub or switch. It uses 24AWG stranded pure bare copper conductors and 50µm gold-plated RJ45 contacts. The design meets UL 444 and TIA-568-C requirements for communications wiring. Snagless strain-relief boots protect the connectors during handling.

Verify Port And Software Needs

Confirm both devices have standard RJ45 Ethernet ports before ordering. Data transfer software may be required on the operating system to move files over the direct link. The cable is wired as a crossover, so it will not replace a standard patch cord for switch or router uplinks. Length is 7.62 metres, so measure the distance between machines.

Suits Direct Link And Legacy Console Link

Builders who need a temporary device-to-device link or an original Xbox system-link cable will find this fit for purpose. Buyers who want a standard patch cable for connecting a PC to a router, switch or wall jack should choose a straight-through cord instead. Anyone requiring longer runs beyond 25 feet must source a different length.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and is anything else needed to connect two PCs directly?

The box contains the 25 ft red Cat6 crossover cable with RJ45 connectors. No extra hardware is required to link two computers directly, though data-transfer software may be needed.

How do I choose between the listed length and gauge for my setup?

This model is a single 25 ft (7.62 m) length in 24 AWG stranded pure bare copper. Pick it when you need a direct PC-to-PC or Xbox system-link run up to that distance.

What does the 550 MHz rating mean for actual throughput on my network?

The 550 MHz bandwidth supports Cat6 performance up to 1 Gbps over the full 25 ft run, with 50 µm gold-plated contacts and pure bare copper conductors meeting UL 444 and TIA-568-C.
