A 2.00 ft 14AWG cord with a NEMA 5-15P plug and IEC 60320 C13 connector for powering computers, monitors or adapters from a US wall outlet
This Monoprice 105290 cable connects devices with a male IEC 60320 C14 panel connector to a standard US AC wall outlet. It features a grounded NEMA 5-15P plug on one end and an IEC 60320 C13 connector on the other. The cord is rated for 15A and uses 14AWG conductors. It is supplied new in black with a length of 2.00 ft.
This cord suits desktop PCs, monitors, power adapters, or UPS units positioned close to a socket where a C13 inlet is present. It is not for equipment that requires a different inlet style or for setups where the power source is further away than the cable allows.
The single specification that decides compatibility is the IEC 60320 C13 connector on the device end. Your hardware must present a matching male C14 panel inlet for this cable to work.

Align the C13 connector with the device's C14 inlet, push firmly until fully seated, then insert the NEMA 5-15P plug into the wall outlet or UPS; the step often missed is not pushing the C13 connector in completely, leaving a loose connection.
Inspect the cable jacket and both connectors periodically for cracking, discoloration, or bent pins; replace the cord immediately if any damage is found, as no user-serviceable parts exist inside.
The 14AWG conductors reach their thermal limit first, so sustained 15 A loads will cause the cable to warm up; ensure adequate airflow around the cord and do not coil it tightly during heavy use.
