6.35 mm TRS stereo splitter

This Monoprice 107221 adapter splits a single 6.35 mm TRS stereo plug into two 6.35 mm TRS stereo jacks. It is designed for audio professionals and hobbyists who need to duplicate a stereo signal to two destinations. Gold-plated contacts help maintain signal integrity across the connection.

Replaces basic Y-cables and mono splitters

The adapter upgrades from cables that only carry mono or unbalanced signals by preserving full stereo separation across both outputs. The jump is worth it when you need to feed two amplifiers, headphone pairs or recording inputs from one stereo source without signal loss or channel crosstalk.

Suits studio and stage patching

It suits engineers patching insert points, splitting monitor feeds or sharing a single stereo output between two devices. Buyers who need balanced TRS splitting, XLR connectivity or more than two outputs should look at something else.

Questions about this item

Does the 6.35 mm male plug fit standard 1/4 inch stereo sockets?

Yes, the 6.35 mm TRS male plug matches standard 1/4 inch stereo sockets on mixers, interfaces and headphone amps.

How do I connect the splitter without creating a short?

Insert the male plug fully until it clicks, then plug each 6.35 mm TRS cable into the two female jacks; partial insertion can bridge tip and ring.

Will the gold-plated contacts need cleaning or replacement over time?

Gold plating resists oxidation, so the contacts should not require cleaning or replacement under normal studio use.
