100-metre channel limit applies

Cat5e cabling supports Gigabit Ethernet only when the total link length stays within 100 metres, including patch cords and horizontal cable. At 50 feet this cord leaves ample headroom for typical desktop or patch-panel connections, but longer runs will require a higher category or a repeater.

Replaces CCA or 10 µm contact cables
