Cat6 keystone jack for structured wiring

Suited for network installers

Buyers who need tool-less termination or a different cable category should look elsewhere. Installers requiring shielded connectors or angled entry for tight spaces will not find those features here.

180-degree punch-down with dual IDC contacts

The straight-through punch-down layout uses two insulation-displacement contacts per conductor. Wiring follows 568A or 568B pinouts and meets or exceeds TIA/EIA 568 standards. Part number 127548, black finish.

Questions about this item

What does the 180-degree punch-down angle mean when the jack is installed in a wall plate?

The 180-degree orientation lets the cable enter straight back from the keystone face, reducing bend radius behind the wall plate and making termination easier in shallow boxes.

Which wiring standards does the dual IDC support and what does that cap in practice?

It supports both 568A and 568B schemes and meets or exceeds TIA/EIA 568 Cat6 performance, so it handles Gigabit Ethernet and is backward compatible with Cat5e systems.

What physical mounting does this keystone need to fit a standard installation?

It snaps into any standard keystone opening in wall plates, patch panels or surface-mount boxes with no special tools beyond a punch-down tool.
