Monoprice 141079 C7 Power Extension

This Monoprice 141079 cord extends the reach between a wall outlet and devices fitted with a non-polarised IEC 60320 C8 inlet. It carries a non-polarised NEMA 1-15P plug on one end and a non-polarised C7 figure-8 connector on the other. The 18AWG conductors are rated for 10A at 125V. Length is 0.3048 metres.

Suits laptops, chargers and AV gear with C8 inlets

Buyers whose equipment uses a polarised C8 inlet or a three-pin IEC 60320 C14 inlet cannot use this cord. It also does not serve appliances that require an earth connection or a current draw above 10A. The non-polarised plugs will not fit keyed or grounded sockets.

18AWG 10A 125V rating decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is the 18AWG conductor rating of 10A at 125V. Verify that the connected power supply or charger operates within this voltage and current limit before use. The cord adds no additional safety features beyond the stated rating.
