12U Quiet Network Rack for Noise-Sensitive Spaces

The Monoprice Blackbird Pro 144573 is a rolling 12U enclosed cabinet designed for servers, routers, UPS systems, switches and audio/video devices. It targets professional AV installers, production companies and IT professionals who need secure equipment storage in classrooms, offices, conference rooms or home theatres where low acoustic output is essential.

Wood-Finish Cabinet with Locking Doors

A stylish beech laminate desktop with a tinted glass front window complements professional surroundings while locking front and rear doors prevent unauthorised access. The removable rear panel simplifies equipment installation and cable routing, and removable casters allow the unit to be moved into position before being locked in place.

Up to 15 dB Attenuation with Three Ultra-Quiet Fans

The integrated cooling system uses three ultra-quiet fans to maintain optimal temperatures while delivering up to 15 dB of noise attenuation. This level of sound reduction makes the rack suitable for noise-sensitive environments where standard server cabinets would be disruptive.

Questions about this item

How much noise reduction does the 144573 rack deliver in practice?

The integrated three-fan cooling system provides up to 15 dB of attenuation, keeping the cabinet quiet enough for offices, classrooms and home theatres.

What floor space and clearance does the 12U cabinet need for the casters and rear panel removal?

Allow room for the rolling footprint plus enough rear access to pull off the locking rear panel for equipment servicing.

How are the three ultra-quiet fans installed and what is the common wiring mistake?

The fans are factory-integrated into the assisted cooling mechanism; the step installers miss is connecting the fan power lead to a live outlet or PDU before closing the rear panel.
