Carbon Fiber In-Wall Pair

The Monoprice 113618 is a pair of 6.5 inch two-way in-wall speakers built for home theatre and whole-house audio. Carbon fibre woofers and silk dome tweeters deliver detailed sound with defined vocals. The magnetic grille is paintable for a discreet finish that blends into any wall surface.

Upgrade From Conventional Drivers

These speakers replace standard in-wall models that use traditional cone materials. The carbon fibre construction allows the woofers to hit harder, reach lower frequencies and handle more power with significantly less distortion. The jump is worth it when you want cleaner dynamics and deeper bass without increasing amplifier demands.

High-Frequency Attenuator Limits

A built-in high-frequency attenuator lets you reduce treble output if the room makes the sound too bright. It cannot boost frequencies beyond the tweeter’s natural response or correct severe room acoustics. Wiring accepts up to 10 AWG cable, so longer runs with thinner wire may limit performance.

Questions about this item

What cut-out diameter does the 6.5in carbon fibre woofer require?

The speaker uses a 6.5in driver; measure the supplied template before cutting the plasterboard opening.

How do you set the high-frequency attenuator during installation?

Wire the speaker, power the system, then adjust the rear attenuator switch while listening until the treble balances with the room.

Can the magnetic grille be repainted if the wall colour changes later?

Yes, the metal grille is paintable; remove it with the magnets, apply a suitable primer and topcoat, then snap it back in place.
