Monoprice Cat6A 1.524 m Yellow Patch Cable

This 1.524 metre Cat6A patch cable uses 26 AWG stranded pure bare copper conductors and shielded twisted-pair construction. It terminates in snagless RJ45 connectors rated for 550 MHz bandwidth. The yellow jacket aids quick identification in crowded racks.

Suited for short 10 Gbit/s links; not for long runs

The 1.524 metre length fits patch-panel-to-switch or device-to-wall-plate connections inside a rack or on a desk. Installers needing longer horizontal runs or in-wall solid-core cable should look at a different product.

550 MHz shielded Cat6A rating

The cable is specified at 550 MHz and built to the Cat6A standard with STP shielding, supporting 10 Gbit/s Ethernet over its full length when the rest of the channel meets the same category.

Questions about this item

Which length of this Cat6A patch cable should I choose?

The cable is supplied in a single 1.524 m length, which is five feet, so there is no alternative length to select for this model.

What does the 550 MHz rating mean when the cable is installed?

It indicates the cable is tested to 550 MHz bandwidth, supporting 10 Gbps Ethernet over the full 1.524 m run.

How does the RJ45 interface limit performance in practice?

The RJ45 connectors are standard for Cat6A and do not reduce the 550 MHz bandwidth or 10 Gbps capability of the shielded 26 AWG cable.
