5-foot Cat7 patch cable

This Cat7 patch cable measures 1.524 m and uses a 26 AWG S/FTP construction with a 5.7 mm outer diameter. It is designed for 10 G Ethernet and remains backward compatible with Fast Ethernet and Gigabit networks. The red jacket and flexible, snagless boot suit high-density routing in racks or cabinets.

Who it suits and who it does not

Network engineers who need a thin, shielded patch lead for 10 G links in tight spaces will benefit from the reduced bulk and lifetime warranty. Installers who require a heavier 23 AWG cable, a different colour code, or a non-shielded design should select another product.

Tested frequency and conductor material

The cable is tested to 600 MHz and built with 100 % pure bare copper conductors with 50 µm gold-plated contacts. It meets UL 444 and TIA-568-C.2 fire and safety standards for communications wiring.
