Connect 3.5mm Sources to RCA Inputs

This 3 ft stereo cable links a 3.5mm headphone output on a phone, MP3 player or PC to the twin RCA inputs on a home amplifier or receiver. Gold-plated connectors and colour-coded tips make identification simple, while 22 AWG coaxial conductors carry left and right channels with individual shielding against EMI and RFI.

Built for Permanent Installations

The cable measures 12 mm by 6 mm overall and each connector housing is 41 mm long by 15 mm in diameter, giving it a substantial feel suited to fixed runs between a desktop computer and a sound system. Heavy-duty coaxial construction means the leads stay put once routed, so they are less convenient for frequent plugging and unplugging on portable gear.

Suited to Stationary Audio Links

Buyers who want a durable, shielded interconnect for a set-and-forget connection between a 3.5mm source and RCA inputs will find this cable fits the task. Users who need a lighter, more flexible lead for on-the-go use with a phone or portable player should consider a slimmer alternative.

Questions about this item

Does the 22 AWG conductor gauge limit the cable length for a clean signal?

The cable uses 22 AWG shielded coaxial conductors and is only 3 ft long, so gauge-related loss is not a concern at this length.

Will the 12 mm by 6 mm cable diameter and 41 mm long connector housings trap heat or make noise during all-day playback?

This is a passive analogue cable with no power draw, so it generates no heat and makes no noise regardless of how long it is used.

My source needs a 3.5 mm stereo output and my amplifier needs two RCA inputs — is that all that is required?

Yes, the cable provides a 3.5 mm stereo male plug on one end and two colour-coded RCA male plugs on the other, so both devices only need those matching jacks.
