Monolith Audition C4 Centre Speaker

The Monolith Audition C4 is a dedicated centre-channel speaker built for home-theatre systems that need clear, focused dialogue. It uses a 20mm soft-dome tweeter mounted in a large, custom waveguide to widen dispersion and sharpen imaging across the front soundstage.

Waveguide limits sweet-spot width

The waveguide improves off-axis response but cannot overcome room acoustics or seating positions far from the centre line. Bass output is constrained by the cabinet volume, so very large rooms may need a subwoofer for full-range impact.

Check amplifier power and binding-post spacing

Verify your receiver or amplifier can drive a 4‑ohm load at the listening levels you prefer. Ensure the 5‑way binding posts match your speaker-cable terminations and that the cabinet dimensions fit your shelf or stand.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the single C4 center channel or add matching bookshelf speakers for a complete system?

The C4 center uses identical drivers to the Audition bookshelf and tower models, so adding those speakers creates a timbre-matched front stage with consistent voicing across all channels.

How does the 20mm soft dome tweeter inside the waveguide affect dialogue clarity in a real home theater?

The waveguide widens the tweeter dispersion, giving a broader sweet spot so dialogue stays clear and anchored to the screen even when you sit off-center.

What do the 5-way binding posts accept, and does the connection type limit amplifier compatibility?

The 5-way binding posts take bare wire, spades, banana plugs, pin connectors or dual banana plugs, so they work with virtually any speaker cable and amplifier terminal without adapters.
