The Monster Smart Lighting Color Sync LED Strip adds real-time ambient light to televisions up to 85 inches. An HDMI decoder box reads the video signal and drives the strip so on-screen colours are mirrored instantly. It works with the Monster Smart App and major voice assistants for scene control and scheduling.

Limits of the HDMI sync approach

The system relies on an HDMI decoder box, so it only syncs content that passes through that HDMI path. Built-in smart-TV apps, over-the-air broadcasts or external tuners that bypass the box will not trigger the lighting. The strip length is fixed for the 85-inch maximum, so smaller screens may have excess cable to manage.
