10 ft TRRS extension cable

This 10 ft cable adds length between a 3.5 mm source and headphones or speakers. It carries stereo audio and a microphone signal through a four-pole TRRS connector. The male-to-female design suits home, car and portable setups.

Nylon braid with gold-plated plugs

A nylon-braided jacket protects the conductors from daily bending and snagging. The 24K gold-plated 3.5 mm connectors resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance. Rated for over 10000 bend cycles, the cable also shields device ports from repeated insertion wear.

Upgrade from short fixed leads

Replaces the short cables supplied with most headphones or headsets when extra reach is needed. The four-pole wiring preserves inline mic and remote functions that three-pole extensions lose. Not suited for users who need balanced audio, digital optical or USB-C connections.

Questions about this item

Does the 3.5 mm TRRS 4-pole connector carry both stereo audio and the microphone signal?

Yes, the four-conductor Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve layout passes left and right audio plus the microphone channel, so headsets with inline mics work without an adapter.

What clearance does the 24 K gold-plated 3.5 mm plug need, and will the nylon braid add bulk?

The straight male plug measures a standard 3.5 mm diameter; the nylon braid adds only a few millimetres, so it fits recessed ports on phones, tablets and car stereos.

How do I install the cable without stressing the 10 000-bend-rated joints?

Plug the male end into the source device first, then connect your headphones to the female jack; avoid sharp kinks at the connector bases during routing.
