Core Ultra 9 275HX 18-inch gaming laptop

The MSI Crosshair 18 HX AI pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX 24-core processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 GPU. An 18.0" QHD+ IPS panel runs at 240 Hz and covers 100% DCI-P3. The system ships with 32GB DDR5 5600MHz memory and a 2TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Buyers wanting desktop-class multi-thread speed and high-refresh 18-inch visuals in a single chassis will fit this profile. The 6.83 lb weight and 240 W adapter make daily commuting impractical. Users needing longer unplugged runtime or a lighter 14 to 16 inch form factor should consider other models.

Deciding specification — 240 Hz 18-inch QHD+ panel

The 2560 x 1600 240 Hz IPS display is the single spec that determines fit. It delivers the refresh rate competitive shooters demand and the colour volume creators expect. If your workflow or play does not require that combination, a lower-refresh or smaller screen will serve you better.

Questions about this item

Will the 18 inch QHD+ 240 Hz panel fit in a standard 17 inch laptop bag?

The chassis measures 15.9 x 11.02 x 1.17 inches, so most 17 inch sleeves are too small; an 18 inch or larger bag is needed.

Does the HDMI 2.1 port allow 4K at 240 Hz on an external monitor?

HDMI 2.1 supports 4K at up to 240 Hz, so the port can drive a compatible external display at that refresh rate.

Is the 32 GB DDR5 memory upgradeable to 64 GB?

The board accepts up to 64 GB of DDR5 5600 MHz, so a future upgrade to 64 GB is possible.
