15.6" FHD 144Hz gaming laptop

The MSI Cyborg A15 is a 15.6-inch laptop with a 1920x1080 144Hz display. It runs on an AMD Ryzen 7 260 8-core processor up to 5.1GHz with 36MB cache. Graphics come from an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with 8GB GDDR7 memory. The system includes 16GB DDR5 RAM and a 512GB PCIe SSD, plus Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 4 connectivity. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Suits mobile gamers and creators needing high

This laptop suits users who want a 144Hz FHD screen and RTX 5060 graphics in a 4.29-pound chassis measuring 14.15 x 9.66 x 0.91 inches. It offers HDMI 2.1, USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C with DisplayPort and Power Delivery 3.0, RJ45 LAN, and a 4-zone RGB keyboard. Buyers needing more than 16GB RAM or 512GB storage out of the box should look elsewhere. No SD card reader or fingerprint sensor is fitted.

512GB PCIe SSD capacity

The installed 512GB PCIe SSD determines how many games and applications fit before an upgrade is required. With 16GB DDR5 memory already populated, storage is the primary constraint for large libraries. The single drive bay means expansion requires replacing this drive rather than adding a second one. Check your capacity needs against the 512GB figure before purchase.

Questions about this item

How do I install the DDR5 memory upgrade and which slot is often missed?

The laptop ships with 64 GB of DDR5 already fitted across both SO-DIMM slots, so there is no empty slot left for a further upgrade.

What maintenance will the RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7 graphics need over time?

Clean the dual-fan vents every few months and repaste the CPU and GPU once every couple of years to keep temperatures steady.

Which limit appears first during long gaming sessions on the 144 Hz FHD panel?

The GPU power ceiling is reached before the 144 Hz refresh can be saturated, so frame rates plateau while the screen still has headroom.
