Questions about this item

At what point does the i9-14900HX hit its thermal ceiling during a long gaming session?

The 24-core i9-14900HX runs at a 4.1 GHz base and can boost to 5.80 GHz; under sustained load the chassis cooling becomes the limiting factor before the CPU throttles.

How loud and hot does the Katana 15 get when the RTX 5070 12GB GDDR7 runs flat out all day?

The 15.6" 165 Hz QHD+ panel and 4.96 lb chassis dissipate heat through rear vents; fan noise rises noticeably but stays in the typical gaming-laptop range for this class.

Which peripherals must I already own to use the single HDMI 2.1 and the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port on this laptop?

You need an HDMI 2.1-capable monitor for 2560 x 1600 at 165 Hz and a USB-C device or adapter that supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 speeds.
