Ryzen 9 9955HX 16-core CPU and 16GB memory

The processor delivers 16 cores clocked between 2.5GHz and 5.4GHz with 64MB cache. Paired with 16GB of DDR5 and a 512GB PCIe SSD, the system handles modern AAA titles and heavy multitasking, though the memory capacity and storage space limit simultaneous large projects and extensive game libraries.

RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 thermals and power

The GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU with 16GB GDDR7 drives high frame rates at native resolution. Sustained loads push the cooling system in the 15.91 x 12.09 x 1.26 inch chassis, so fan noise becomes noticeable during extended gaming sessions while the 7.94 pound weight reflects the thermal hardware required.

Questions about this item

Will the 2x USB 4 ports on the Vector A18 work with my existing USB 3.2 Type-A dock and drives?

Yes — the three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and two USB 4 ports are backward-compatible, so your current dock and drives will connect and operate at their rated speeds.

After first boot, how can I confirm the 240 Hz panel and RTX 5080 16 GB GDDR7 are running at their advertised specs?

Open Windows Display settings to verify 2560 x 1600 at 240 Hz, then launch NVIDIA Control Panel or GPU-Z to confirm the RTX 5080 reports 16 GB GDDR7 memory.

The supplier notes the factory seal is opened for upgrades — what ships in the box and what must I source myself?

The box contains the laptop, power adapter and documentation; the 16 GB DDR5 memory and 512 GB PCIe SSD are already installed, so no extra parts are required unless you plan further upgrades.
