AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX 16-core processor

The CPU operates from 2.5GHz up to 5.4GHz with 64MB Smart Cache across 16 cores. Multi-threaded workloads such as rendering, compilation and streaming benefit from the high core count and boost range. Buyers who need more cores than this single processor provides should look elsewhere.

RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7 graphics

The GeForce RTX 5080 laptop GPU includes 16GB of GDDR7 memory for high-resolution textures and large frame buffers. Under sustained load the cooling system manages heat from both the CPU and GPU while driving the 240Hz display. Power draw scales with performance demands during gaming or compute tasks.

Questions about this item

How does the 240 Hz panel behave when the RTX 5080 is driving games at high frame rates?

The 18 inch QHD+ display refreshes at 240 Hz, so the RTX 5080 can push frames well above 120 fps without tearing, giving smooth motion in fast titles.

What external resolutions can the HDMI 2.1 port actually drive?

HDMI 2.1 supports 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz, letting you connect a high-refresh monitor or TV without compression.

Will the 15.91 by 12.09 inch footprint fit a standard 18 inch laptop sleeve?

The chassis measures 15.91 x 12.09 x 1.26 inches and weighs 7.94 pounds, so a sleeve sized for 18 inch models will accommodate it.
