MSI Katana A15 with Ryzen 9 8945HS

The MSI Katana A15 is a 15.6 inch gaming laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS processor with 8 cores and 16 threads. It ships with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 4 TB PCIe SSD. The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 8GB GDDR6 graphics card drives a 144Hz FHD display. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed for professional use.

Cooler Boost 5 thermal system and port selection

The Cooler Boost 5 cooling solution manages heat from the CPU and GPU during extended sessions. Connectivity includes two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 port, one USB 3.2 Type-C port, an HDMI output, an RJ-45 Ethernet jack and a headphone and microphone combo jack. The RGB backlit keyboard and integrated webcam support streaming and low-light work.

Upgraded memory and storage over base configuration

The factory configuration is opened by engineers to replace the original 16GB of memory and 512GB SSD with 64GB of DDR5 and a 4 TB PCIe SSD. This upgrade suits users who need large capacity for game libraries, media projects or virtual machines without opening the chassis themselves. Buyers who want a smaller footprint or lower weight should consider ultraportable alternatives.
