Core specification and intended user

This MSI Thin 15 laptop combines a 15.6 inch FHD panel at 144Hz with an Intel Core i7-13620H processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU. Sixty-four gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a two-terabyte SSD provide capacity for modern games and professional workloads. The system ships with Windows 11 Home and a backlit keyboard in a black chassis. It suits buyers who need high refresh visuals and large memory in a single portable device.

Build integration and connectivity

The chassis includes three USB 3.0 Type-A ports, one USB Type-C port, an HDMI output, two headset jacks and a wired Ethernet connection. Wireless networking uses Wi-Fi 6E alongside Bluetooth for peripheral pairing. Internal speakers and a microphone handle conferencing without extra hardware. The design omits a card reader and numeric keypad, so users relying on those features will need external accessories.

Sustained-load behaviour

The ten-core processor reaches a 4.90GHz turbo frequency with 24MB of L3 cache to maintain throughput during extended sessions. Dedicated graphics and fast storage keep frame rates and load times consistent when the system is pushed. Battery life and thermal management support all-day operation, though buyers who require a larger display or additional expansion slots should consider other form factors.

Questions about this item

Does the i7-13620H throttle under sustained 4.90GHz turbo loads with the RTX 4050?

The 10-core i7-13620H reaches 4.90GHz turbo and 24MB L3 cache; the Thin 15 chassis manages thermals for the RTX 4050, but prolonged max turbo will hit thermal limits before power limits.

How loud and hot does the laptop get when the RTX 4050 and i7-13620H run all day?

Fans spin up to cool the 10-core CPU and RTX 4050; surface temperatures rise above idle and fan noise is audible, yet the 15.6" chassis keeps both components within spec during extended sessions.

What cables or peripherals must I already own to use the 144Hz display and all ports?

The laptop includes HDMI and USB 3.0 Type-A ports; for external 144Hz monitors use an HDMI cable, and for wired networking have an Ethernet cable ready.
