15U Wall Mount 19" Rack

This 15U open frame rack mounts to a wall and accepts standard 19-inch equipment with threaded holes. It is built from SPCC cold rolled steel with a black powder-coated finish. The unit ships flat packed and requires assembly on site.

Suited for network closets with limited floor space

Installers who need deeper mounting rails for large servers or who require a lockable enclosure should consider other options. The 16-inch depth and open frame design limit the equipment length and physical security available.

Threaded 19-inch mounting rails

The rails use threaded holes rather than square punch-outs, so cage nuts are not needed for installation. This simplifies hardware changes when equipment is added or removed.

Questions about this item

What wall space and stud spacing does the 29.5"H x 20.25"W rack need for secure mounting?

The unit measures 29.5 inches high by 20.25 inches wide and 16 inches deep. Mount it to at least two wall studs spaced for the 20.25-inch width, using lag bolts rated for the 110-pound capacity.

Which assembly step is most often missed when building the flat-packed frame?

Installers frequently forget to tighten every threaded 19-inch rail screw after the frame is square. Finger-tighten first, confirm the 15U hole alignment, then torque all bolts before loading equipment.

What parts of this open-frame rack may need replacement after years of use?

The powder-coated SPCC steel frame itself is durable, but the threaded 19-inch mounting rails can strip if over-torqued. Keep spare cage nuts and replacement rail sections on hand for future 15U expansions.
