2U Vented Fixed Shelf for 19-Inch Racks

This NavePoint shelf occupies two rack units and spans 18 inches deep to hold equipment in standard 19-inch cabinets. It supports up to 50 pounds of gear and ships fully assembled for immediate use.

Cold-Rolled Steel Build with Front Mount

The shelf is formed from cold-rolled steel finished in black electro-static powder coat. Front mounting tabs secure it to the rack face, while slotted venting promotes airflow around stored devices and a front lip helps keep items from sliding forward.

Replaces Makeshift Shelves or Non-Vented Trays

It upgrades from improvised platforms or solid trays that trap heat, adding structured support and ventilation in one step. The jump is worth it when you need a rated 50-pound capacity and factory venting instead of ad-hoc solutions.

Questions about this item

What is the rack-unit height and how does the 2U form factor affect usable vertical space?

The shelf occupies 2U, which equals 3.5 inches of rack height, leaving the remaining units above and below available for other equipment.

What mounting-hole patterns and hardware are included for a standard 19-inch rack?

It fits a 19-inch wide rack and ships with four 10-32 screws and four 12-24 screws to match either thread standard.

How is the cantilever shelf secured, and which step is commonly missed during installation?

The shelf front-mounts to the rack rails using the supplied screws; the step often missed is tightening both 10-32 and 12-24 screw sets to prevent flex under a 50-pound load.
