Secure 4U Rack Drawer

This NavePoint drawer provides 4U of lockable storage in a standard 19-inch rack. Heavy-duty steel construction with a black powder coating protects contents from dust and unauthorised access. Two keys are included for the integrated lock. The 13.25-inch depth fits shallow cabinets while keeping tools, media or patch cables organised.

IT Teams and Secure Storage Needs

The drawer suits administrators who need a small, locked compartment for licences, spare modules or hand tools inside a locked rack. It is not for installers who require a sliding shelf for active equipment, a deeper tray for full-sized keyboards, or a ventilated platform that supports powered devices.

13.25-Inch Mounting Depth

The unit requires 13.25 inches of clear depth between the front and rear rack rails. Measure the cabinet before ordering; deeper or shallower enclosures will not align with the mounting holes.

Questions about this item

What rack width and depth does the 4U drawer fit?

The drawer mounts to any standard 19-inch rack and has a depth of 13.25 inches.

How is the drawer secured to the rack and what step is often missed?

Fasten the front flanges to the rack's threaded rails with cage nuts or screws; the step often missed is using all four mounting holes per side for a rigid fit.

What maintenance does the locking mechanism need over time?

Lubricate the lock cylinder periodically with a dry PTFE spray and keep the two supplied keys in a safe place for future replacement.
