6U Wall-Mount Cabinet with Swing Gate

The NavePoint 6U wall-mount cabinet provides secure housing for network equipment in space-limited areas such as network closets, retail locations, schools, IT shops and home offices. It features a 550mm depth, a reversible glass front door and a hinged back that swings away from the wall for rear access. Two built-in fans promote airflow to help prevent equipment overheating. The unit ships pre-assembled and includes two L-brackets for mounting.

Suits Installers Needing Rear Access and Security

This cabinet suits installers who need frequent rear access to cabling and equipment without removing the unit from the wall. The swing gate design and locking points on the front gate, side panels and back swing gate protect against tampering or theft. It supports equipment up to 200 lbs. Buyers who need deeper enclosures for larger servers or higher rack-unit counts should look at alternative form factors.

Pre-Assembled Mounting with Adjustable Rails

The cabinet arrives fully assembled, so installation consists of securing the included L-brackets to a suitable wall structure. Vertical mounting rails adjust up to 15.74 inches to accommodate various network switches and patch panels. The 16 gauge cold-rolled steel construction adds weight, so verify the wall can support the loaded cabinet before mounting. Ensure clearance behind the unit for the swing gate to open fully.

Questions about this item

What wall structure and mounting hardware are needed to secure this 6U cabinet safely?

The unit ships with two L-brackets for wall mounting and weighs up to 200 lbs when fully loaded, so attach it to studs or solid masonry using appropriate lag bolts or anchors rated for that weight.

Can the hinged back swing gate and reversible front door still open fully when the cabinet sits next to an existing rack row?

The swing gate pulls the entire 6U enclosure away from the wall for rear access, while the front door hinges left or right; both need clearance in front and to the hinge side, so plan aisle space accordingly.

How can I verify the two built-in fans are moving air after installation?

Power the fans, then feel airflow at the vent openings or hold a light tissue near the intake and exhaust — steady movement confirms the fans are running.
