Five 1-foot shielded CAT6 patch cords with strain-relief boots for 10/100/1000 Base-T networks
This NavePoint CAT6 F/UTP cable uses 26AWG stranded copper conductors with an HD-PE insulator and a durable PVC jacket. It carries data at speeds up to 10 Gbps and meets 10/100/1000 Base-T network requirements. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors and strain-relief boots provide secure, reliable links for servers, routers, switches and media players. The five-pack supplies matched cables for tidy rack or desk runs.
Builders wiring patch panels, wall plates or device-to-switch jumpers will appreciate the 1 ft length and corrosion-resistant contacts. Installers who require longer runs, solid-core cable for in-wall pulls, or unshielded UTP construction should look at different cable types. The F/UTP foil shield adds protection in electrically noisy racks but is unnecessary for simple desktop connections.
The single specification that decides fit is the F/UTP foil shield combined with 26AWG stranded wire, which balances flexibility for patching against EMI resistance in dense racks. Conductor DC resistance is 14.3 Ohm/km and insulation resistance exceeds 5000 Ohm/km. Choose this cable when you need a short, shielded patch cord; choose solid UTP when you need permanent horizontal cabling.

These cables are 1 foot long, so they suit tight rack spaces or side-by-side devices; choose a longer cable only if the gap between ports exceeds that distance.
The cable is rated for up to 10 Gbps, but on 10/100/1000 Base-T equipment the link will negotiate at 1 Gbps maximum; 10 Gbps requires 10G-capable ports at both ends.
Foil shielding around all pairs reduces external interference, while the 26 AWG stranded conductors give flexibility for patching; DC resistance is 14.3 Ohm/km and insulation resistance exceeds 5000 Ohm/km.
