  • 250 MHz verified bandwidth supports Gigabit Ethernet throughout the run
  • Red jacket colour simplifies cable identification in dense patch panels

Indoor plenum-rated cable for structured wiring

The NavePoint CAT6 plenum cable is built for permanent indoor runs where fire safety codes require CMP-rated jackets. Its solid 23AWG bare copper conductors support gigabit speeds for offices, campuses and home networks. Installers pull 1000 ft from a tangle-free box and cut custom lengths using the one-foot markings.

CMP fire rating for air-handling spaces

The decisive specification is the plenum (CMP) rating, which certifies the jacket for installation in ducts, drop ceilings and other environmental air spaces. Without this rating the cable cannot legally be used in those pathways, so verify your local code before specifying an alternative.

Low-smoke jacket with solid copper conductors

The plenum-grade jacket limits flame spread and smoke emission during a fire event while the solid bare copper pairs maintain signal integrity up to 250 MHz tested bandwidth. In normal operation the cable runs passively with no power draw, no active cooling and no audible noise.

Questions about this item

What does the 250 MHz rating mean for real-world network speed?

The 250 MHz bandwidth supports Gigabit Ethernet and can handle up to 400 MHz high-speed data for demanding indoor applications.

How does the CMP plenum rating affect where I can run this cable?

The plenum-rated jacket meets fire safety standards for installation in air-handling spaces such as drop ceilings and raised floors.

What conduit or pathway size do I need for a 1000 ft pull of 23 AWG solid copper cable?

The 4-pair UTP construction with solid 23 AWG conductors pulls smoothly from the tangle-free box through standard low-voltage conduit.
