Outdoor CAT6E Direct Burial Cable

NavePoint CAT6E UTP outdoor gel-filled direct burial Ethernet cable comes on a 1000 ft black spool. It uses 23 AWG pure copper conductors in four twisted pairs for reliable data transmission. The gel-filled construction and UV-rated LDPE jacket protect the cable in wet, buried or sun-exposed runs.

Suited for buried or aerial outdoor runs

Installers pulling cable through conduit, trenching direct-burial lines or mounting aerially between buildings will benefit from the waterproof gel fill and UV-resistant jacket. Buyers who need shielded pairs for high-EMI environments or a plenum-rated jacket for indoor air-handling spaces should look at a different cable type.

Tested to 550 MHz bandwidth

The cable is verified up to 550 MHz, supporting gigabit Ethernet and higher-speed links over the full 1000 ft length. Solid copper conductors reduce attenuation on long runs compared with copper-clad alternatives.

Questions about this item

How does 550 MHz bandwidth translate to real-world network speed?

The 550 MHz rating supports Gigabit Ethernet over the full 1000 ft length and can handle 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to the shorter distances allowed by the CAT6 standard.

What does the UTP designation mean for installation near power lines?

Unshielded twisted pair relies on pair twist for noise rejection, so keep a practical separation from mains voltage cables to avoid interference.

What conduit or tray size fits the gel-filled jacket?

The cable uses a standard CAT6E diameter, so typical ¾-inch or larger conduit and open cable tray provide enough space for the gel-filled jacket.
