Oil-Only Sorbent Pad 4107

The New Pig 4107 pad absorbs fuels and oils while repelling water for industrial spill control. White polypropylene construction makes saturation easy to see during maintenance or emergency response.

Eight-Layer Polypropylene Build

Eight layers of polypropylene deliver 40 gallons of oil absorption per package without dripping. Perforated 16 by 10 inch sections let you tear off only what the job requires.

32-Inch Wide Roll Format

The 32 inch by 150 foot roll covers large surface areas and fits standard spill containment pallets. Perforations free you from cutting tools and reduce material waste on site.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 32 in x 150 ft roll, and what step do people get wrong?

Unroll the pad on a clean, flat surface with the white side up. The common mistake is ignoring the 16 in x 10 in perforations; tear along them to create manageable 10 in x 16 in sections before placing under leaks.

What maintenance or replacement will this sorbent pad need later?

Each 10 in x 16 in section saturates after absorbing its share of the 40 gal total capacity. Replace individual sections once they no longer take up oil; the eight-layer polypropylene construction cannot be wrung out or reused.

What limit shows up first under sustained oil-only use?

The 40 gal total absorption capacity is the hard limit. Once the combined sections reach that volume, the polypropylene fibres stop wicking fuels and oils, and any further liquid will bypass the pad entirely.
