This 20 ft Cat6A UTP patch cable uses 24 AWG stranded pure copper conductors and gold-plated RJ45 connectors. It is built for 10 Gigabit Ethernet links up to 100 meters and operates at a minimum frequency of 500 MHz. The gray CM-rated PVC jacket meets TIA/EIA standards verified by UL and ETL. It suits installers who need a certified 10GBase-T drop in a managed rack or home office.

Boots and T568B wiring for rack installs

Molded boots protect the RJ45 tabs during frequent patch-panel changes, while T568B pin-out ensures compatibility with standard wall plates and switch ports. The unshielded design keeps the cable flexible for tight cable-management trays and eliminates the need for grounding hardware. PoE devices benefit from the improved heat dissipation of the Cat6A gauge. It is not for runs that require shielded or outdoor-rated jackets.

Upgrade from Cat5e or Cat6 links

Replacing Cat5e or standard Cat6 cables with this Cat6A assembly raises the usable bandwidth to 550 MHz and suppresses alien crosstalk on 10,000Base-T circuits. The jump is worth it when 10 Gbps throughput is required over copper distances up to 328 feet. It does not add shielding for high-EMI environments or replace fiber for links beyond 100 meters.
