Cat6A 10 Gigabit patch cable

This seven-foot Cat6A UTP cable carries 10 Gigabit Ethernet over copper for home and small-business networks. It supports 10Base-T, 100Base-T, 1000Base-T and 10000Base-T links up to 100 metres. Stranded 24 AWG pure copper conductors provide flexibility for patching between switches, routers and endpoints. The blue CM-rated PVC jacket identifies the run in a crowded rack.

Booted RJ45 connectors with gold contacts

Each end terminates in an RJ45 plug with 50 micron gold-plated contacts that resist corrosion over repeated insertions. The moulded boot protects the latch from snapping when cables are routed through tight cable-management channels. Wiring follows the T568B pinout for broad equipment compatibility. The unshielded twisted-pair construction keeps the cable light and easy to bend around corners.

500 MHz bandwidth and 100 metre channel limit

The cable is qualified to a minimum 500 MHz frequency and a 550 MHz rating, enabling the higher bandwidth 10 Gigabit Ethernet demands. Maximum channel length remains 100 metres (328 feet) per TIA/EIA standards, so longer runs require intermediate switches. Crosstalk suppression and improved heat dissipation support Power over Ethernet applications. Buyers needing shielded cable for high-EMI environments or runs beyond 100 metres should look elsewhere.
