Cat7 shielded patch cable

This Cat7 shielded (SSTP) patch cable uses four individually shielded pairs inside an overall braided shield with 26AWG stranded pure copper conductors. It is terminated with RJ45 plugs that have 50 micron gold plated contacts and molded strain relief boots. The 7 ft gray cable carries a CM type PVC jacket and is wired to the T568B standard. It is rated for 600 MHz transmission frequency and complies with TIA/EIA standards verified by UL and ETL, plus RoHS compliance.

Capacity and headroom

The cable supports Gigabit Ethernet applications with headroom provided by the 600 MHz rating and the double shielded SSTP construction that reduces crosstalk and system noise beyond Cat6 levels. Over the full 100 meter (328 ft) channel the specification guarantees performance, so a 7 ft patch cord operates well within its design margin. It will not serve runs longer than the 100 meter channel limit or applications that require higher category ratings such as Cat8.

600 MHz rating

The single specification that decides suitability is the 600 MHz bandwidth rating combined with full SSTP shielding, which together certify the cable for Gigabit Ethernet over the complete 100 meter channel. If your installation demands a higher frequency rating or a different shielding scheme, this cable will not meet that requirement.
