Cat8 cable for 40 Gbps networks

This Nippon Labs Cat8 patch cable uses 26 AWG stranded pure copper conductors and S/FTP shielding to deliver up to 40 Gbps at 2000 MHz. The five-foot black cable terminates in RJ45 plugs with 50 µm gold-plated contacts and a snagless, strain-relief boot. It is rated for in-wall and outdoor use with a PVC jacket.

Sustained throughput on shielded copper

Each of the four twisted pairs is individually foil-shielded and wrapped in an overall braid, suppressing alien crosstalk during continuous high-frequency transmission. The 2 GHz bandwidth headroom supports emerging 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T links without the signal degradation seen on lower-category cables under prolonged load.
