This Nippon Labs Cat8 Ethernet cable runs at 2000 MHz and supports up to 40 Gbps over a 7 ft red run. It uses stranded 24 AWG bare copper conductors with individual foil shielding, overall steel braid and a CM-rated PVC jacket. Gold-plated RJ45 connectors with snagless boots complete the S/FTP construction.

Suited for 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T links

The cable targets data-centre switch-to-server connections and high-speed home networks that need 25 Gbps or 40 Gbps throughput. It is fully backward compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a and Cat7 equipment. Buyers whose gear only negotiates lower speeds will not benefit from the Cat8 specification.
