Red quilted mitts for kitchen and BBQ

These 17-inch flame-retardant mitts come as a two-pack and are made from 100% quilted cotton. They are designed for home cooks and grill enthusiasts who need forearm coverage while handling hot cookware. The oversized length shields most of the forearm without restricting hand movement. Lab testing confirms protection up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cotton construction limits wet use

The mitts must not be used when wet and should only be cleaned with a damp cloth. Cotton insulation loses effectiveness if moisture penetrates the quilted layers, so they are unsuitable for steam-heavy tasks or immersion. The fabric is rated for dry heat contact up to the tested threshold. No machine washing or drying is permitted.

Flexible fit supports daily handling

Heavy-duty stitching keeps the quilted layers aligned through repeated use while preserving wrist and finger dexterity. The traditional mitt shape allows a secure grip on pots, pans and grilling tools. Red colouring makes the pair easy to spot in a busy kitchen or outdoor cooking area. One size fits most adult hands.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the red 2-pack or the black version?

Both packs contain two 17-inch mitts made from 100% quilted cotton with identical heat protection; the only difference is the red or black colour option.

What does the 500 degrees Fahrenheit lab-tested rating mean for everyday grilling?

The mitts are proven to shield hands and forearms from direct flame and radiant heat up to 500 °F, so they handle hot grill grates, cast-iron pans and oven racks without transferring burn-level heat to your skin.

How does the 17-inch length affect coverage compared to standard mitts?

The 17-inch sleeve extends well past the wrist to cover most of the forearm, adding a protective barrier against splatter and radiant heat when reaching deep into ovens or over grill flames.
