Blue active optical InfiniBand cable with OSFP connectors on both ends, four metres long

NVIDIA

NVIDIA MCA4J80-N004 InfiniBand AOC cable OSFP 4m 800 Gbit/s

SKU CH-73ZS-XH6PC MPN MCA4J80-N004

Active InfiniBand cable with OSFP connectors delivers 800 Gbit/s over 4 m

  • Active optical cable removes copper length limits
  • 800 Gbit/s NDR bandwidth for high-performance clusters
  • OSFP twin-port connectors on both ends
  • 4 m reach fits standard rack spacing
  • 12 ft cable length suits data-centre layouts

800 Gbit/s InfiniBand AOC cable

This 4 m active optical cable uses OSFP connectors on both ends to carry InfiniBand NDR traffic at up to 800 Gbit/s. It is built for high-performance interconnects between network devices in compute clusters.

Suits NDR fabric builds; not for slower links

The cable targets deployments that require the full NDR data rate over a short reach. Buyers who need lower speeds, different connector types or longer passive runs should look at other cable families.

OSFP dual-port NDR at 800 Gbit/s

The single specification that decides fit is the OSFP dual-port interface running at the NDR rate of 800 Gbit/s. Match this exactly to your switch and adapter ports before purchasing.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 4 m OSFP InfiniBand cable without damaging the active optical connectors?

Align each OSFP plug squarely with the port, push straight in until the latch clicks, and avoid twisting the 13.12 ft cable during insertion — the active optics are sensitive to side loads.

What maintenance or replacement will the active 800 Gbit/s InfiniBand cable need over time?

The copper‑clad active cable has no user‑serviceable parts; plan to replace the entire 4 m assembly if link errors appear or after a major rack redesign.

What limit appears first when the 800 Gbit/s InfiniBand link runs continuously at full load?

Sustained NDR throughput is limited by the active optical engine’s thermal budget; prolonged 800 Gbit/s traffic will hit temperature throttling before the copper conductors degrade.
