New York State Flag 5x8 ft

The Nylglo 143880 New York flag measures five feet by eight feet and is made from 200 denier nylon. It features a digital single reverse image with a header and grommets for attachment. This flag is designed for both indoor and outdoor display on a flag staff or pole. It suits homes, schools or offices flying the state colours.

Lightweight Nylon Handling

At 200 denier the nylon fabric stays light so the flag flies in gentle breezes without excessive strain on the pole. The material dries quickly after rain and resists mildew during damp periods. A minimum thirty foot pole height is recommended for proper clearance. The header and grommets distribute wind load evenly across the top edge.

Sustained Outdoor Exposure

Continuous sun and weather will gradually fade the printed image and weaken the nylon fibres over months of flying. The single reverse construction means the back side shows a mirror image rather than a second printed face. For permanent installations the flag should be inspected regularly and replaced when wear appears. It is not intended for high wind storm conditions.

Questions about this item

How do I attach the New York flag to a pole using the header and grommets, and what mistake should I avoid?

Thread the pole through the reinforced header and secure it with the brass grommets; the common error is clipping only one grommet, which lets the flag twist and tear in wind.

What part of the 200 denier nylon flag will need replacement first after months outdoors?

The header stitching and grommet eyelets wear before the field fabric; inspect them each season and replace the header tape when stitching frays.

At what wind load does the 5x8 ft nylon flag reach its design limit on a 30 ft pole?

The flag is rated for standard residential wind zones on a 30 ft pole; sustained gusts above that zone cause the header to stretch and the fly edge to fray first.
