1U Accessory Rack Shelf

The Odyssey Innovative Designs ARS1 is a 1U rack shelf built for standard 19" equipment racks. It provides a stable platform for components that are not designed for rackmount installation but remain essential to the setup. The shelf occupies a single rack unit of vertical space.

Installation and typical issues

The unit mounts directly into standard 19" rack rails using the front flange holes. No specialised tools are required beyond common rack screws. The main limitation is the fixed 1U height which prevents taller equipment from fitting on the shelf.

35 lbs load capacity

The shelf supports a maximum distributed load of 35 lbs. This capacity handles items such as small network switches, power strips, cable management panels or spare parts. Heavier devices like full-size servers or large UPS batteries exceed the rated limit and require a heavier-duty shelf.
