Compact Remote Gateway

The Opengear ACM7004-2-LMP is a compact resilience gateway designed for remote management of critical infrastructure. It combines Smart Out-of-Band access with failover to cellular in a unit measuring 1.4 inches high, 5.1 inches wide and 4.7 inches deep. The device weighs approximately 1.32 pounds and supports desktop, rack-mount or rail-mountable installation. A four-year limited warranty and TÜV plus RoHS certifications are included.

Installation Requirements

Verify that your rack or desktop space can accommodate the stated dimensions and that a suitable power source is available for the gateway. The package supplies an external rack-mount tab, a black terminal block, two 4G LTE blade antennas, a dual SIM holder and a DB9F-to-RJ45 adapter. Four rubber feet are also provided for desktop placement. Ensure cellular coverage is adequate at the deployment site for failover functionality.

Network Operations Teams

This gateway suits network operations teams needing secure, always-on remote access to console ports with automatic cellular failover. It is not intended for buyers who require integrated compute or storage capacity, nor for environments that demand a full-depth server chassis. Organisations without 4G LTE coverage should consider alternative connectivity options.

The package includes the ACM7000-LMx gateway, external rack-mount tab, black terminal block, two 4G LTE blade antennas, dual SIM holder, DB9F-RJ45 adapter, four rubber feet and a quick-start guide. Cables, SIM cards and rack rails are not included.

Which variant does the ACM7004-2-LMP represent and how does it differ from other ACM7000 models?

This unit is the ACM7004-2-LMP configuration within the ACM7000 series, providing Smart Out-of-Band management with cellular failover in a 1.4" high desktop or rack-mountable chassis.

How does the 1.4" height and 1.32 lb weight affect installation in a standard rack?
