Ultra-portable 1TB external SSD

The Orico C5 is a 1TB external solid-state drive built around a USB Type-C connection and rated for sequential reads up to 460MB/s. An aluminium enclosure keeps weight low while a built-in keychain hole lets the drive hang from a bag or belt loop. A 2-in-1 USB-C to USB-A cable is included so it works with laptops, tablets and Type-C smartphones straight from the box.

Mobile professionals and casual users

This drive suits anyone who wants pocket-sized, cable-free storage for documents, photos or media libraries while travelling or working between devices. Buyers who need sustained write performance for large video projects or who require hardware encryption for sensitive data should look elsewhere because the specifications list neither sustained speeds nor security features.

460MB/s sequential read speed

The single figure that determines suitability is the quoted 460MB/s maximum read rate over the Type-C interface. If your workflow demands faster transfer of multi-gigabyte files, this drive will not meet that requirement; if occasional backups and everyday file moves are the priority, the rated speed is adequate.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the Orico C5 1TB is delivering its 460MB/s read speed after setup?

Run a disk benchmark tool such as CrystalDiskMark or AS SSD on a Windows, macOS or Linux host; a sequential read result near 460 MB/s shows the drive is performing as specified.

What comes in the box with the C5-1TB and what must I buy separately?

The package includes the external SSD, a 2-in-1 USB-C and USB-A data cable and an instruction sheet; no additional accessories are required for basic operation.

Which capacity of the Orico C5 series should I choose?

The C5-1TB model provides 1 TB of storage; select this capacity if you need roughly one terabyte of portable solid-state space.
